US - Six professional skateboarders, including Leo Romeo, Austin Stephens, Josh Harmony, Keegan Sauder, Ethan Fowler, Nestor Judkins, and team manager Jimmy Arrighi, rode Vespa scooters up the California coast, from Los Angeles to San Francisco, for RVCA’s “Mild Ride.”
The “Mild Ride,” a recent creation from Leo Romero and Adam Conway, is a new approach to connect the skateboard and scooter worlds. The “Mild Ride” showcased scooters from the current Vespa model range, including the Vespa GTV, Vespa GTS 250ie and the Vespa GT 200. Throughout the five-day “Mild Ride,” the RVCA team made several stops at skate parks and local Vespa dealerships. Skating and scooter enthusiasts who attended met the RVCA skaters and got an early preview of the Vespa S, which will debut in February 2008.
