This is my first scooter so I have little basis of comparison. Therefore, the basis for this review is my own personal satisfaction with the GT200. First, some numbers - I'm keeping detailed records on everything about this scooter - after 4,300 miles in just 2.5 months, the average fuel economy of my last 5 fill-ups is 85 mpg -I have hit a speed of 85 mph on a flat road, however, I let off the throttle at that point and I do believe it may have given me a little more. I have ridden several 100-200 mile trips in my first 2.5 months and find this scooter extremely reliable, very comfortable to ride, above all, the most fun you could possibly have !!! I have sustained speeds of 72 mph on the PA Turnpike, for distances of 60 to 80 miles and found the stability to be outstanding. When I first got the GT200, I thought the wind blast on my torso at speeds over 60 mph was too much. I added a non-oem windshield (Faco) which rises 13" above the handlebars and this made all the difference in the world. I opted for this size because I've heard the disadvantages of the large Vespa windshield, and I felt the smaller Vespa windshield would not have been enough. I think my choice of the 13" high windshield was perfect. Phenominal scooter.
