Been riding the R3 for about 7 months now. Recently rolled over 3500 miles. Still no issues. This bike continually amazes me. Even with a 200 pound passenger, it's amazing how quickly this beast hits the century mark. You truely don't know there's someone back there. Lots of stares from bystanders with the standard line of questions - what is that, who makes Triumph? I thought they were out of business, haven't seen a Triumph since the seventies, how big is that motor? how much power does it have?, and my favorite comment from a senior citizen, nothing sounds sweeter than a big triple - and I agree! It sounds so docile idling at the lights - but - twist the throttle on acceleration and it definitely generates some unique sounds and excitement between the thighs. There is NO replacement for displacement - period! Sorta makes your buddy's Harley look whimpy!
